DE0279: USPHS Quarterly CDE Webinar: Community Water Fluoridation-Facts vs. Myths [RECORDED WEBINAR]
Many research studies have proven the safety and benefits of fluoride. For 70 years, people in the United States have benefited from drinking water with fluoride, leading to better dental health. By preventing cavities, community water fluoridation has been shown to save money for families and for the US health care system. Community water fluoridation is recommended by nearly all public health, medical, and dental organizations. It is recommended by the Centers for Disease Control, the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, US Public Health Service, and World Health Organization.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Understand what happens when community water fluoridation ends.
2. Cite research as to why fluoride is safe, and
3. Describe dental fluorosis.

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
