DE0285: IHS Monthly CDE Webinar: Community Health Aide Program Expansion [CHAP] Update [Recorded Webinar]
This one hour webinar, co-sponsored by the IHS Division of Oral Health and the Field Advisory Committee of the IHS National Oral Health Council, will provide an update on the proposed establishment of a national Indian Health Service Community Health Aide Program, which would include the utilization of Community Health Aides, Behavioral Health Aides, and Dental Health Aides.
Upon completion of this webinar, participants should be able to:
1. List the three disciplines that are common to both the Alaska Community Health Aide Program [CHAP] and to the proposed Indian Health Service National CHAP;
2. Describe the specific two requirements that the Indian Health Care Improvement Act requires if there were to be a CHAP expansion; and
3. Explain the fundamental differences between Community Health Representatives [CHRs] and Community Health Aides [CHAs].

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
