DE0632: Diabetes Online CDE: Insulin Management
This webinar will cover the latest information on insulins and its use in managing blood glucose in patients with diabetes. Working with patients on individualized treatment targets, and intricacies of needing and using insulin with or without other medications will also be addressed. Furthermore, the use of self-monitoring of blood glucose [SMBG] and continuous glucose monitoring [CGMs] with insulin therapy will be discussed.
1. Describe the different types of insulin and the types of patients with diabetes for whom they are best suited.
2. Review common adverse effects of insulin therapy in managing blood glucose.
3. Determine how SMBG or CGM can be best utilized to improve glucose management.

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
