DE0641: Diabetes Online CDE: What the Diabetes Team Needs to Know About Kidney Transplant
This presentation is designed to assist primary and diabetes care providers and educators in counseling people with kidney transplants. The session will provide diagnostic criteria and management strategies for common long-term complications of transplantation along with recommendations for educating and assisting patients with kidney transplants. The benefits of care coordination for patients with kidney transplants will also be addressed.
1. Appropriately utilize lab tests for monitoring kidney graft function.
2. Assess for important long-term complications of kidney transplantation.
3. Employ prevention and management strategies for common complications in patients with kidney transplants.

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
