DD0023: USPHS Dentist Webinar: Strategies to Improve Antibiotic Stewardship Across the Oral Healthcare Continuum [Recorded Webinar]
Improving antibiotic use is an important public health priority not only to reduce the spread of antibiotic resistance but also to protect patients from the unintended consequences of antibiotic use. Dentistry contributes a large proportion of human antibiotic use. This course will discuss partnerships and policies that are key to improving antibiotic use, as well as both the challenges and opportunities for dental health professionals to play a role in improving antibiotic use.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Describe progress in measuring antibiotic use in dentistry;
2. Discuss key partnerships and policies to improve antibiotic use in dentistry; and
3. Discuss challenges and opportunities for dental health professionals to play a role in improving antibiotic use.

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
