Summary:

This course presents a high-level outline of the benefits and process to transition the IHS EDR system to a Single Instance to provide more efficient IT system maintenance and strengthen data security while maintaining sovereign data integrity within the Single Instance scenario. The intended audience are those personnel responsible for: IT system management; data sovereignty and security; and interoperability between EHR and EDR operating systems. The presentation also touches on the future of IHS EDR to incorporate new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
•   Identify the primary purpose of the IHS Dentrix Enterprise EDR system
•   List three [3] challenges the existing deployment of the IHS EDR system poses to IHS HIT modernization
•   List three [3] benefits a Single Instance of the IHS EDR system can improve overall clinical support and EDR performance.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
