Ginny Bronson has been working for IHS as an IT Specialist for over 25 years. Ms. Bronson worked for the Portland Area IHS for 15 years as the Unix and database administrator, providing technical assistance for RPMS applications and systems and configuring RPMS servers and databases. In 2009, she accepted a position with the Office of Information Technology [OIT] as part of the federal development team. Ms. Bronson currently provides support and development activities for the following applications: Release of Information [BRN], IHS Dental [ADE] and the RPMS-EDR Interface [Bade]. Prior to IHS, Ms. Bronson worked as a user support analyst for Oregon State Treasury, after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Eastern Oregon University in 1992.

Agenda:
This course provides an introduction to the IHS Dentrix Electronic Dental Record [EDR] interface with the IHS Resource and Patient Management System [RPMS] focusing on the RPMS side of the interface.
Course topics include:
•   Type of data transmitted,
•   Overview of the RPMS Bade Production,
•   Restarting the EDR interface, common issues and problems,
•   Review of the EDR troubleshooting guide.
•   Setting up auxiliary dental personnel registration in RPMS
•   The provider registration process for the new Dentrix Clinical Note transition to RPMS EHR

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1.   Understand what type of data is transmitted between IHS RPMS and IHS Dentrix systems
2.   Troubleshoot provider and hygienist registration and data transition issues
3.   Resolve common Dentrix RPMS interface issues and problems
4.   Check the BADE production for errors/s and how to restart the EDR interface

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
