Summary:

Each year, the IHS Division of Oral Health provides seed money to programs to explore promising practices. In 2023, funding was provided to support prevention of dental caries in 6-9 year-old AI/AN children and implementing a cognitive assessment in dental settings. Listen in to this webinar to learn some of these promising practices.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this training/course, participants should be able to:
1. Describe at least two ways to increase access to care for 6-9 year-old AI/AN children;
2. Discuss the importance of dental sealants in this age group; and
3. Describe how a cognitive assessment can be performed in a dental setting.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
