Summary:

The Monthly IHS CDE Webinars are available to all IHS, tribal, and urban dental program staff [dentists, dental hygienists, dental health aide therapists, community dental health coordinators, expanded function dental assistants, dental assistants, and dental health aides].

3. Explain the purpose of the IHS Occupational Safety & Health Program.

The speaker has no conflicts of interest to report. Brian Hroch, is the Institutional Environmental Health Program Manager at IHS Headquarters within OEHE’s Division of Environmental Health Services. As program manager, Brian provides Institutional Environmental Health technical support; provides Agency-wide program support; directs and coordinates the IHS Occupational Safety Program; and serves as technical advisor to Agency staff on health and safety concerns in child care, educational, correctional, or similar institutional facilities on Indian lands. He is a graduate of the IHS Institutional Environmental Health Residency, where he earned his Master of Public Health from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences [USUHS] and earned his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from Ohio University. Brian is a Certified Industrial Hygienist [CIH], a Certified Safety Professional [CSP] and a Registered Environmental Health Specialist [REHS]. With positions in the Indian Health Service and the private sector, Brian has more than30 years of professional experience in institutional environmental health, industrial hygiene, safety management, healthcare accreditation, radiation protection, environmental management, emergency management and infection prevention. Brian is an Environmental Health Officer who retired as a CAPTfrom the USPHS after serving in positions in the Albuquerque Area, Navajo Area and IHS Headquarters. Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
