EDR Practice Consultant, Christine Poshtakohi, presents the third part of our EDR billing seminar series. This session will cover basic concepts of dental insurance, including types of dental insurance, rate codes, coverages, and receiving insurance plan information from HL7. This online seminar is recommended for front desk staff, billing staff and office managers.

1.   Identify one [1] insurance payor type used by your clinic.
2.   Define the term ‘rate code’ and how it applies to dental encounter rate billing.
3.   Identify three [3] insurance plan fields required to support electronic dental claim submission in Dentrix Enterprise.

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
