Summary:

Dental initiatives provide dental access and education within our Native communities that can address dental disparities. These programs can set trends of compared outcomes throughout years of community services. This presentation will describe how to receive funding for dental initiatives within OCA/BEM Areas and provide outcomes of FY2024 initiatives by funded awardees within the OCA/BEM Areas.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

1.   Identify the OCA/BEM Dental Support Center FY2025 Initiative.
2.   Describe how to complete an OCA/BEM mini-grant application.
3.   Recognize outcomes and results of mini-grant initiative.

Prerequisites:

Participants should be dental staff from IHS, tribal, and urban programs in the Oklahoma City, Bemidji, and Great Plains Areas.

Please Make Checks Payable to: Indian Health Service.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
