DD0050: AIDC Study Club: “Nitrous Oxide Safety and Utilization in Dentistry”


This course will review Nitrous oxide use as an anxiolytic agent in dentistry. Topics will be: environmental standards, safety, equipment review, patient selection, and step-by-step procedure in administration of N2O. The final topic, update in ADA Guidance toolkit when using N2O. This course is an annual review for providers who use N2O for patients.
This is an AIDC Study Club and is open to dentist at AIDC and Santa Fe Indian Hospital
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Understand the safety and environmental standards required for using N2O in the dental setting
2. Be familiar with equipment used when providing N2O for dental patients
3. Knowledge of patient selection and choosing good candidates for N2O anxiolysis and the step-by-step procedure for N2O delivery in the dental operatory.

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
