Laboratorians
The Hidden Professionals. Behind the scenes, from the bedside at specimen collection to typing the correct blood products for your surgery, Medical Laboratory Professionals (MLPs) provide answers to life and death decisions that health care providers ask every day. Whether striving for the least invasive blood collection or the increased quality assurance provided by real time peer review, MLPs show commitment, compassion and delivery of RESULTS displayed in their practice. They work behind the scenes as well ensuring quality and “raising the physical, mental, social, and spiritual health of American Indians and Alaska Natives to the highest level.” Their efforts are critical to the success of our agency and elevate our priority to increase the quality of and timeliness of care.
