The Radiology Department is located next to the Lab on the first floor of the PIMC Hospital tower.

Services

At the Phoenix Indian Medical Center Radiology Department we offer the following medical imaging diagnostic services.

  • The Phoenix Indian Medical Center offers digital x-ray imaging. Digital imaging is fast and offers diagnostic image quality to your provider for diagnosis or monitoring.

    Hours of Operation

    Emergency Department
    Services are available 24 hours 7 days per week.

    Referral/Walk-in Services
    Services are available Monday through Friday from 7:00AM to 7:00PM and Saturday/Sunday/Holidays from 7:00AM to 2:00PM. Walk-in (no appointment needed) - only applies to plain film (x-ray) services.

  • The Phoenix Indian Medical Center offers CT imaging services. CT imaging provides imaging of internal organs, brain, bones, muscle, and blood vessels.

    Services are available 24 hours 7 days per week.

    Referral Services
    Services are available Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 3:00PM.

    Note: Referral Services for CT imaging involving contrast may require the patient to obtain laboratory blood tests before a CT can be performed. Other special exam instructions may be provided with contrast or without contrast. Refer to your exam instructions at time of scheduling.

  • The Phoenix Indian Medical Center offers mammography 2D and 3D imaging services. Mammography imaging provides for breast cancer screening. Mammography 3D imaging (breast tomosynthesis) obtains multiple breast images which are reconstructed by the computer to create a three-dimensional picture of the breast.

  • The Phoenix Indian Medical Center offers ultrasound imaging services, also know as sonography. Ultrasound imaging provides imaging of internal organs using high frequency sound waves.

    Services are open 24 hours 7 days per week.

    Referral Services
    Services are available Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 3:00PM.

    Note: Referral Services for Ultrasound imaging may require special instructions. Refer to your exam instructions at time of scheduling.

  • The Phoenix Indian Medical Center offers fluoroscopy imaging services. Fluoroscopy is an imaging exam that uses x-ray beams that pass continuously through the body. This exam allows providers to see movement of internal organs in real time.

    Services are available Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 3:00PM.

    Note: Referral Services for fluoroscopy imaging may require special instructions. Refer to your exam instructions at time of scheduling.

  • The Phoenix Indian Medical Center offers DEXA imaging services. DEXA imaging provides ionizing radiation to produce images inside the body to measure bone loss. Commonly used to diagnose osteoporosis or developing osteoporotic fractures.

    Services are available Tuesday from 12:00PM to 3:30PM.

Preparation Before Services

  • Please talk with your provider and radiologic technologist before services are provided.
    • Do mention allergies you have or sensitivity to medicines such as iodine.
    • Notify your provider and radiologic technologist if you are or might be pregnant.
    • Notify your provider if you are breastfeeding.
    • Laboratory tests may be required before exam, for example HCG blood testing.
    • Some exams require fasting 12 hours before exam (CT/Ultrasound). Instructions will be provided when scheduling services.
    • No child care services are available.
