Zero Suicide Initiative Sites
The Zero Suicide Initiative (ZSI) is a nationally-coordinated grant program that funds eight(8) tribes, tribal organizations, and federal facilities for the purpose of implementing a comprehensive model of suicide care within a their health system. Additionally, IHS sponsored a national American Indian/Alaska Native (AIAN) Zero Suicide Academy® in 2015 and 2017. IHS contracts with the Education Development Center (EDC)/and its Zero Suicide Institute, training, technical assistance and consultation is provided to all grant-funded projects as well as to Zero Suicide Academy sites implementing the Zero Suicide within their health systems.
