Andria Apostolou, PhD, MPH

Andria Apostolou is the STD Surveillance Coordinator for the IHS STD Program. She is a graduate of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Epidemic Intelligence Service and the CDC Health Systems Integration Program. She was stationed at the New Jersey Department of Health. Andria participated in numerous surveillance and outbreak response activities and in special deployments including post-disaster response after the 2010 earthquake in Haiti and the 2013 Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey. She was an invited instructor for influenza training in Togo and an instructor for applied epidemiology in Taiwan. Andria has a PhD in Molecular Medicine from the University of Maryland, and an MPH in Epidemiologic & Biostatistical Methods for Public Health & Clinical Research from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (JHSPH). She holds graduate certificates in Public Health Preparedness and in Risk sciences and Public Policy from JHSPH.
