DE0235: Diabetes Online CDE: Breastfeeding Lowers Women's Risk of Metabolic Syndrome and Cardiovascular Disease
Breastfeeding is an evidence based early intervention for reducing risk for obesity and diabetes. This session will provide an overview of the literature and research related to the impact of breastfeeding to lowering a woman’s risk of cardiovascular and metabolic disease as well.

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
1. Examine ways in which breastfeeding downregulates stress.
2. Summarize the effect of dose response on metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disease.
3. Identify one change you can make in your clinic or public health practice.

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
