Summary:

This presentation will highlight disparities in oral health, specifically, untreated tooth decay, oral cancer, periodontitis, and tooth loss. In addition, data on access to dental services [past year dental visits, preventive dental services visits], and prevalence of dental sealants will be presented. Some of the key findings will showcase the CDC Oral Health Surveillance Report 2019 which examines national estimates for selected measures for oral health status during 2011–2016, changes since 1999–2004, and highlights disparities in oral health by certain sociodemographic characteristics.

This webinar is limited to the first 100 unique logins, although the phone line is not limited.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will understand:
1.   Current oral health disparities and changes over time.
2.   Oral health disparities in the context of Healthy People 2020/2030 oral health objectives.
3.   Prevalence across the life span for select oral health conditions.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
