Summary:

Please join the Native Oral Health Network [NOHN] for the first webinar in our dental therapy series titled: Dental Therapy: The Basics.

This webinar will provide an introduction and overview of the dental health aide therapy [DHAT] provider model. Experts on the subject will discuss DHAT or dental therapy, how dental therapy has been implemented across the country, and the impact of dental therapy in Native communities. We will also hear about the creation of the National Partnership for Dental Therapy, the organizations involved in this partnership, and what they aim to accomplish.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completing of this one-hour webinar, participants should be able to:
•   Understand the DHAT provider model compared to other mid-level provider models in dentistry
•   Understand the impetus in creating the National Partnership for Dental Therapy
•   Understand the impact of dental therapy in improving oral health outcomes
•   Understand purpose and efforts of the National Indian Health Board’s Tribal Oral Health Initiative

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
