The fourth session was entitled: “Beating The Odds: A Story NOT Silenced by Oral Cancer”
Eva Grayzel transports dental professionals into the oral cancer patient’s experience sharing riveting details about her delayed diagnosis and finding the strength to persevere through the devastating effects of radical surgery and radiation motivating new thinking about oral cancer screenings and patient education. Her compelling narrative humanizes oral cancer, inspiring audiences professionally and personally.
Following this course, participants will be able to:
• Integrate oral cancer screenings with patient education.
• Optimize screening techniques and patient care
• Develop a standard of care for screenings
• Understand long-term effects of radiation to the oral cavity
• Protect yourself from liability in an oral cancer case

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
