DE0393: Dental Therapy Series: Tribal Innovations for Improving Access to Oral Health Care [Live Webinar]
Please join the Native Oral Health Network [NOHN] for the second webinar in our dental therapy series, “Tribal Innovations for Improving Access to Oral Health Care” on December 3, 2020 at 1pm [CT]. This webinar will highlight dental therapy outreach and advocacy activities happening throughout Choctaw Nation in Oklahoma, in addition to other activities to improve access to oral health care. This webinar will also highlight a certified Dental Health Aide Therapist [DHAT] serving Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe in Washington State.
Upon completing of this one-hour webinar, participants should be able to:
• Understand the importance of culturally competent care
• Understand efforts of Choctaw Nation to improve access to oral health care
• Understand the level of patient care provided by dental therapists
It is the policy of the Indian Health Service, Division of Oral Health, that faculty/planners disclose any financial or other relationships with commercial companies whose products may be discussed in the educational activity. Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
