Ambulatory Surgery

RRM Category: AMBULATORY CLINIC

Overview

The RRM Ambulatory Surgery staffing module estimates the requirements for general surgeons to provide all general surgery services other than inpatient surgery, OB/GYN surgery and delivery services. The driver for the allocation of staff in this module is the number of general surgery cases. The minimum workload for Surgery and Anesthesiology is 200 cases. The ambulatory surgery cases should be counted as part of the general surgery cases for staffing. Nursing services for surgery are covered in the Inpatient Nursing modules. The hospital RRM module does not provide these FTE s. They need to be approved and added as deviations.
