Pascua Yaqui Tribe

The Pascua Yaqui Tribe's initiated the Centered Sprit Behavioral Health Program as part of their project. Best practice models that will be incorporated include the Matrix Model, Acudetox, Motivational Interviewing, Digital Story-Telling and Too Good for Drugs. The project will support training and implementation of the Motherhood and Fatherhood is Sacred curriculum. The program aims to increase awareness of the dangers of drug abuse and provide evidence-based services for those in need of treatment.

Tohono O’odham Nation

The Tohono O’odham Nation’s Wecij Hemajkam Apedak (Youth Wellness) project promotes positive Native youth development and family engagement through the implementation of early intervention strategies to reduce risk factors for suicidal behavior and substance abuse. The project utilizes Native HOPE (Helping Our People Endure), Sources of Strength (SOS), Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) to meet the goals the SASP program.
