Pascua Yaqui Tribe

The Pascua Yaqui Tribe MSPI project aims to prevent suicide and methamphetamine use in the community, with a focus on community youth. The project partners with a mental health organization to host community events that provide a safe place for LGBQT youth and their families. The project also collaborates with another MSPI project to host Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) trainings for the community.

Tohono O’odham Nation

The Tohono O’odham Division of Behavioral Health MSPI project, prevention, intervention and surveillance Plan, utilizes community intervention, training, and collaboration to prevent suicide. The project has developed a surveillance database with the Tohono O’odham Department of Information and Technology. The project has established suicide crisis response teams and created behavioral health crisis resource lists for community partners.
