Partnerships Conference

Annually, the Indian Health Service, Tribal and Urban partners meet to discuss and learn about changes related to coding and third party billing, including Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurance. Topics are focused on: Health Information Management, Purchased/Referred Care (PRC) and Business Office functions.

On August 13 to 15, 2013, the 14th Annual Indian Health Partnerships Conference was held in Denver, Colorado with 500 people attending in person and several hundred participating via webinar.  The theme of the conference, "Partnerships 2013: Accessing Health Care through the Affordable Care Act" provided key health operations and system staff information on Affordable Care Act implementation requirements, including the new Health Insurance Marketplace, and the impact on the provision of health care services to American Indian and Alaska Native people. The conference agenda and available presentations are posted below.
