National Conference
The 2025 IHS National Clinical and Community Services Summit was held from May 12-15 in Seattle, Washington, with Chief Medical Officer for IHS, Dr. Loretta Christensen, MD, as the Keynote Speaker. The theme, "Braiding Health: Weaving Together Health Care, Innovation and Community," celebrated the power of collaboration in advancing health initiatives.
Highlights included:
- Motivational Speakers, Training, and Technical Assistance
- Demonstrations such as a Virtual dementia tour and a Mini-Cog screening
- Networking Opportunities with dementia care champions, GeriScholars, and Nurse Fellows through poster sessions and meet-ups
- Breakout Sessions and Roundtable Discussions about important work across the Indian health system on dementia models of care, caregiving, brain health, elder health, community services, and other topics
