IHS Alzheimer's Grant Program Funding Opportunities
The IHS Alzheimer’s Program initiatives and activities are guided by the priorities shared during extensive tribal consultation and urban confer [PDF - 276 KB], following first-time appropriations for IHS in 2021. In 2022, the Indian Health Service announced the availability of first-time funding for tribes, tribal organizations, urban Indian organizations, and IHS direct service facilities to address Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias within tribal communities, following first-time appropriations for IHS in 2021. The goal of funding is to address the dementia challenges facing tribal communities, people living with undiagnosed and diagnosed dementia, and their caregivers.
