Cancer Navigation Training
The California Area Indian Health Service is building capacity for cancer patient navigation, in partnership with:
- California Rural Indian Health Board, Inc. (CRIHB)
- San Diego American Indian Health Center (SDAIHC)
- University of California, Davis (UC Davis)
- University of California, San Diego

Target Audience: nurses, social workers, and community health representatives
Free online training begins with George Washington University.

Time Commitment of online training:
- 1-2 hours per week for 10 weeks (July 7 – September 12, 2025)
- Friday Office Hours for group to review, discuss, and support learning
Free in-person training and billing support for 2 days:
- July 30-31, 2025 for Central/Northern California programs
- August 20-21, 2025 for Southern California programs
Ongoing quarterly navigator support/education provided after the trainings.
