Testimonials

pic "I enjoy working for IHS for many reasons. The most important though is that many patients have told me I am the first Native American provider that has cared for them. It seems to bring quite a bit of trust and happiness to them. I was raised to help other Native Americans in need and this seems to be the perfect fit. IHS has a myriad of opportunities available to its employees along with great benefits. I plan on continuing to work as a Physician Assistant with IHS until I retire."

Isaac Parr, Physician Assistant

pic "I joined the Indian Health Service in 2020 as a pharmacy resident, but my desire to learn did not stop after my residency training completed. With support from pharmacy leadership, I was encouraged to extend myself, and not be limited to the work within the walls of the pharmacy. These opportunities have also been amazing ways to connect to other professionals within the healthcare landscape, and enrich my personal growth. IHS has supported my career to be patient-driven, public health focused, and backed by administrators in a myriad of ways."

Megan Gilliam, PharmD

pic "I have had the privilege of working with the Indian Health Service for the past seven years, and it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I truly value the opportunity to utilize my clinical expertise to its fullest potential and actively engage in direct patient care. Serving the American Indian and Alaska Native communities is deeply meaningful to me, especially as a proud member the the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, having recieved IHS care throughout my life."

Bethany Johnson, PharmD

pic “The Indian Health Service allows me to focus on treating patients rather than producing revenue for the office. The patients are some of the most appreciative people I've ever met, and I believe it's because their needs are our first priority." Wesley Johnson, DDS, IHS Pediatric Dentist
