This webinar will provide an overview of the current landscape of vector-borne diseases in California, including regional and seasonal trends, diagnosis, and available resources. Participants will review the transmission cycles, risk factors, signs and symptoms, and prevention strategies for selected diseases—plague, hantavirus, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and Chagas disease—with attention to impacts in Tribal and Urban Indian communities and application to local-level practice.
