  2. The Continuing Medical Education Best Practices & GPRA Measures Conference is May 9-11 followed by Diabetes Day May 12, at the Holiday Inn Capitol Plaza in Sacramento, CA.
    1. Attached you'll find flyer and agenda that shows on Monday May 9th from 1-4 we have a breakout session, Nutrition Learning Basket. For those able to attend it is opportunity to share what's working and network. For those not able to attend you can join us via adobe connect (link and call number are below).  Registered Dietitians (RDs) and dietetic technicians, registered (DTRs) can receive up to 23 continuing professional education units (CPEUs) at the Best Practices & GPRA Measures Conference, claiming only the number of hours he/she actually attended.

    2. Specialist from UC Davis School of Medicine will be presenting breakout sessions, in addition sessions on Tobacco Cessation, Trauma-Informed Care, Marijuana Trends-Best Practices, GPRA 101, Clinical Pharmacy Consultation, Operating an HCV Program, and more.
    3. Included on Wednesday May 11, will be a special lunchtime session presentation by world-renowned speaker e-Patient Dave deBronkart! No cost for registration, and CEU/CME are included.

Sheila Fleischhacker, Ph.D., J.D, Senior Public Health & Science Policy Advisor at the NIH Office Of Nutrition Research, will be joining us via adobe connect on May 9th during our Nutrition Learning Basket session. She had a conflict with April 11th, and is able to block time on May 9th to join us. Her article Emerging Opportunities for Registered Dietitian Nutritionists to Help Raise a Healthier Generation of Native American Youth was shared by Stacey and also included in the last email update. She is looking forward to sharing some of her learnings, and hearing from all of you too.
